JAALS Foundation Welcomes Nigerian Returnees from Central African Republic
Representatives of the JAALS Foundation, led by Mr. Toyin Adenugba, ACIS, ACMR, FERP on behalf of our Director, Dr. Tolu Aderemi joined Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and officials of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in Abuja to welcome home a group of Nigerians who were trafficked to the Central African Republic.
At the event, the JAALS Foundation presented each returnee with a token of support not as a handout, but as a gesture of belief in their future. Mr. Adenugba commended the resilience of the returnees, encouraging them to see their difficult experiences as a foundation for a fresh start.
“You are not starting from scratch; you are starting with experience and perspective that will be invaluable. The possibilities before you are endless because your potential is limitless.”
The JAALS Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to justice, human rights, and the rehabilitation of society’s most vulnerable. We also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for prioritizing the welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora, and to Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and the NiDCOM team for their relentless efforts in restoring hope to Nigerians abroad.
A Note of Caution:

- Never accept a job that seems too good to be true.
- Never pay for a job offer.
- Insist on a clear, written contract.
- Do not surrender your passport or ID documents.
- Watch out for wage theft, unsafe housing, or restricted movement, these are red flags for exploitation.
